The purpose of this Trust is to use the Trust Property for the benefit of SLCN and for the benefit of present and future generations of the members of SLCN.

To foster development of economic capabilities for the community through community owned enterprises and ventures, with profit as its primary goal.

To provide opportunities for employment, training, and business experience to Members and create an income for SLCN on a medium to long term basis.

To ensure that the Trust Property is invested prudently.

To assist SLCN in becoming self sufficient by developing responsible policies and guidelines for the investment of the wealth of the SLCN for the long term.

To be accountable to the members of the SLCN and ensure that the activities of the Trust are transparent to the members.

To preserve the capital of the Trust Property in order to generate income in accordance with the terms of the Trust Deed and to enhance the capital value of the Trust Property.

To assist SLCN and the members of SLCN to take responsibility for the socio-economic issues in the community and to resolve them based on traditional values of the SLCN.

To ensure sustainability of the Trust so that it can provide perpetual assistance to the Members of SLCN.

To insure that the wealth generated from the Trust Property benefits equitably and fairly the Members of SLCN.

To assist SLCN to improve the quality of life for all Members of SLCN by providing payment of income to SLCN in accordance with the Terms of the Trust Deed.
